Keiji "stormed" into the US from Japan in mid-November 1998 at the tender age of 4 months. His first shows at 6 months garnered him 2 majors and a BOV over a special. The next weekend he took another BOV over a special. Two weeks later he finished his Championship with another major and later that weekend took his third BOV all at the age of 7 months 24 days of age. The following weekend he took his fourth BOV win. Keiji finished 1999, ranked #13 in Breed Points and #17 overall and was not shown after early October.
At the age of 10 1/2 months Keiji traveled to Mexico City for competition in the 1999 World Shows (FCI) and earned his Mexican and Junior World Championship titles against competition from Mexico, Argentina and Guatemala, also taking Best Junior Beagle three of the four days.
As of May 2004, Keiji has produced 5 champions from three different breedings.
Keiji has returned to his breeder in Japan.
