Welcome to the New Information Site for the Vintage Cooperative.

In January of 2001 a small group of sellers started talking about a seller-owned auction site. In February this group branched off to persue a niche site for selling Vintage, Antique and Collectible items. The Vintage Cooperative was born.

This has grown from 5 people talking to over 20 people actively working to make our corporation and marketplace site a reality.

On June 18, 2001 one member of this group chose to abandon the spirit of cooperation and locked us out of our informational site. Because his name was on the account he simply changed the password.

Over 20 of us are still working on this project. We are the same group of dedicated volunteer workers. We have the same goals and principles. We have the same site and marketing plans. But, we have changed. We have become stronger through adversity. We are stronger and more determined than ever before to see an alternative, seller owned, vintage site come into being.

We have worked out a set of cooperative membership requirements, have expanded our Frequently Asked Questions and solidified ideas for our marketplace site.

Please come in and take a look around. We hope that you will join us in this business venture that will allow you to own a piece of the Marketplace site and the Vintage Cooperative, the corporation that owns it.

REVAMPED SITE- our NEW site has been updated and revamped!! There are changes on almost every page!! Come in and take a look at the new and updated information.

Our latest NEWSLETTER is out! We will have a links for old issues ! If you would like to subscribe, please sign our Guest Book or use the link on our Newsletter page.

DOT COOP is coming!!!! The .coop domain designation for cooperative web sites was approved and is coming late this summer. We will be joining the National Cooperative Business Association who will be administering the .coop approvals. We are closely following their 7 rules for a true cooperative.

VOLUNTEERS- Our volunteer needs are becoming a bit more specific as time goes by. We still need people with marketing, illustration, research, programming/HTML/technical, accounting, budgeting and writing skills. We also have a lot of short term- odd jobs too for those with limited time to give. Every person's effort brings us that much closer to opening our doors!
