clusters of Aroai lilies grow from the murky water. The large white flowers

seem a bit brighter and more peaceful, despite the unending chorus of wildlife
in the background.

them.

rust colored ochaifae. Very noticable are the bright iridescent red beetles
which flit among the chutes of the ochaifae that seem to not care about
concealing themselves, unlike the rest of the wildlife in the area.

though the grass seems to be attempting and failing to drive the swamp plant

beating of wings. The reason for the sudden drop of activity of the natives
seems to be due to the enormous amount of ochaifae that has grown in this area
of the fen. So much of the rust colored plant has grown here that it is rather
difficult to move through without jostling the chutes or disturbing the beetles
that dine on the leaves. The shiny red beetles fly about, oblivious to the world
at large and the gloomy fen outside the small forest of ochaifae.

occupied by a dirt trail which leads away from the rest of the Fen. Otherwise,

hooting, and croaking of various wildlife resounds through the air, giving
evidence that at least a few creatures call gloomy habitat home.

The northern road heads north of the city of Llanfair into a peaceful
countryside with a few trees and wildflowers growing in the grass beside the

The heart of this residential area boasts some of the most expensive houses, and
some of the most prominent people in town. The street is patrolled by several
guards armed to the teeth with high tech firearms, while surveillance camera's
sweep the area. Emergency response posts line each side of the street not more
then 10 feet from each other, while android units stand posted two to a house
along the street. All travelers from the north are thoroughly questioned before
allowed into the gates of Llanfair.

message board with some stuff on it.

The buildings here are mostly comprised of elaborate homes made of marble and
glass with big well-manicured lawns. Centered in the middle of the area is a
grassy circle with a small white chapel in the center of it. A flagstone walk
leads up to the steps of the chapel. Several tall kailet trees cast shade across
the area.

Tall buildings line each side of the street here. Highly polished tinted glass
reflects the light. Several holograms are projected on large screens high above
the top of several buildings. One seems to be advertising high tech weapons
while another one is a small android hopping around doing something you can't
quite figure out. Several of the larger buildings have sliding doors that are
voice activated, while others have very expensive retina scanning devices and
voice recognition databases. Small robotic devices clean the streets here,
quietly humming in the background as citizens walk casually about seemingly
unafraid of any would be violence as several android units and surveillance
cameras keep a watchful eye on this upscale neighborhood. A quaint shop billing
itself as a gentleman's store is nestled between two larger buildings.

A busy five-way intersection, Rafzo parkway is packed with vehicles and
pedestrians during all hours of the day and night. Numerous people in suits and
some in more casual business attire head west toward the noisy commodity market.
A towering iron gate makes way for the rustic Darju district, and a tunnel
decorated with flowering vines leads to Cloud Court.

This block is packed full of upscale two-story row homes, all constructed of
stone and each with a tiny front yard, some containing flowers. Heavy traffic

Nestled unobtrusively between a pair of houses is a small high-tech comm shop
with large glass windows and a chrome sign hanging above the entrance. Across
the street is a small squat building with the words Belt World printed on one
window.

The large family-owned food market, Peneli Grocers, has been in business for
many generations. A sign states that it is temporarily closed for renovations.

sliding glass door, and turn away in disappointment.

As the sound of the music from the swim club to the southwest fades slightly,
you enter a quieter area with smaller buildings and slightly less foot traffic.
Most people seem to be hurrying north toward the Mall portal, but a few stroll
slowly, just enjoying the fresh air.

This crowded street corner is home to the 18/7 Sea Biscuit Diner, the most

night. Giant electronic billboards switch on every few minutes to play short
commercials, but the sound is often drowned out by the honking of horns and
shouting. A winding dirt path disappears into the forest to the south.

Once full of life and activity, this now destitute park has been overrun by
violent creatures, contained here only by a magical forcefield. Further down the

sound other than your footsteps is the occasional high-pitched squawk. It almost
sounds as though the creature is speaking a language that you could understand.

there is a waterfall a little further down the stream. However, the forest is
