Well Second Dawn definitely rocked out over break. We played through some of Alex's new stuff, which was quite excellent. And we made some recordings! Unfortunately, ProHosting has some new web hosting policies which include blocking all MP3s. Which means that the Songs page no longer works. I will post the new songs on my site though, if you want to hear them. I may move this site to a new server eventually, but Second Dawn is laying low for a while...we're still around though. You just wait for this summer...

Well, what can I say, college has slowed things down with Second Dawn a bit, but christmas break is coming quickly! Alex played William and I his new song over thanksgiving and it's pretty sweet. I'm quite excited about getting back together over the break and doing some serious rocking out. If we can actually work up a few of the new songs we might have to do a mini-party/concert like Slapmit Maudy did over the summer. But we'll see. The more I've seen of the bands that my friends down here in Texas have had the more I've been encouraged about Second Dawn. So, that's about it for now.

Hey, everybody!

I know no one checks this site much at all anymore, but today, Brad and I began to work on changing that.
One of my favorite summer pastimes is playing guitar with an open case on the streets of downtown Black Mountain - it's excellent practice, tons of fun, and I can make pretty good $$$! Anyway, I was out there playing, when the idea hit me to put together an acoustic album of the stuff I play on the street - it would allow you guys to hear a ton of music you wouldn't hear, even if you did get a chance to listen to "This Lonely City,"
So today, Brad and Myself put together a "Hand Drum and Acoustic Duo" and laid down the first three tracks of an acoustic album! That's right - you heard it, Second Dawn is putting out a B-Sid album, even though we don't have a real one out yet! We're really excited, and the tracks we got recorded today are called "Look In the Mirror," "Pull Me Along," and "By the Wayside." More info to come soon, but keep your eyes peeled for new music!!

I am proud to announce the launch of the SECOND DAWN PLAYER! That's right, I had a lot of spare time...just go to the Songs page and check it out, cause you can listen to clips from every song on This Lonely City! You'll have to use Internet Explorer to witness the Player's full glory, but it should be able to play alright on any browser.

Hey! The Second Dawn machine is slowly grinding back into motion...we were at William's house on Wednesday and we worked on some new stuff! Alex has a bunch of new songs (but they aren't posted yet). Speaking of which, I just overhauled the entire Songs page. Check it out--it's pretty sweet. Actually, I overhauled the whole site...but you won't notice most of the changes--mainly they make things easier for me to work with. I killed the Groupie due to lack of interest, though. Call it the website's spring cleaning. Tell me what you think (the log could use a little exercise), and watch for good stuff coming--because we are at it again!

OK yea so absolutely nothing has happened for a long time...give us a break, we were busy graduating...lol. We'll be back soon enough; and we'll have This Lonely City. Just wait.
Hmm and I'm wondering if The Groupie will actually take off. We make go back to just the log. I like the log.
Later guys.
