Bio: I think that one of the best parts about this band is the tension and diversity that's created within the group by our vastly differing influences and tastes in music, particularly between those of Andrew and myself. So, while Andrew has a catchy, punk-driven style, my songs are heavier and more rhythmic. We have a running joke that while Andrew is trying to turn Second Dawn into Jimmy Eat World, I'm pulling the opposite direction, trying to turn us into Chevelle. It's that tug-of-war of styles that I think makes our music much more interesting - we don't fit neatly into a genre, and we wouldn't be ourselves if any of that tension was missing.

Well, a lot has changed as far as my equipment goes since this site was first created, and I'm proud to say that a few of my dreams have been realized... my guitar is a Schecter C-1 Classic, which I love more and more every day I own it. In stark contrast to the weenie Crate 15 Watt practice amp I used to use, I now play through a Marshall MG50 DFX, which has become a key part of my sound. I use the amp's own Overdrive a ton (Bridges and Backroads, Look in the Mirror), but I also use a Digitech X-Series Hot Rod Distortion Petal when the occasion calls for it (The Fall, The Last Call, Broken). My acoustic is an Alverez RD 20S NAT Acoustic-Electric, and I just love the sound that that thing gets... anyway, since I can't afford to buy an acoustic Amp, I run it through the clean channel of my Marshall, with just a touch of drive, which gives it a sharper more bluesy feel (Can't Complain, Bread and Wine). That's about it, but hopefully I'll have more to put up here before too long!
