After my daughter and son
were born in 1951 and 1953, my concern was to give them a love
for the piano that I had. Composing for them did not occur to
me until my grandson was born in 1976 and I had begun studying
the Equal Interval System of horizontal writing by Spud Murphy
in Los Angeles. This led to my publishing the first and second
books (Magical Moving Moments) and a Switzerland premiere of my
compositions in 1981. After this I promised myself I would continue
to compose and publish one book per year.
In 1986 when I moved to New York, I found myself
teaching children that were very intelligent but playing the piano
did not come easily to them. To compose for them became an everyday
necessity. I added more songs to the collection I had already
started for my grandson and niece (same age) and the result was
the publication of the Children's Piano Course. The vocal works
came later because of my spiritual work with the Family Federation
for World Peace and Unification. At this time, I must give thanks
to God who, first of all, gave me this gift of music and guided
me all these years so that I could offer and share my compositions
with all of you.
