Before you download BS, please read the following:
1. It's recommended that you add some sort of sign to your online BZ2 pilot name to signify your using BStrat. I use [BS] Daku, but you can always try other ways... like Daku23 (as in BS version 2.3) or DakuBS, etc.
Whenever I create a BS game, I like to make sure everyone in the room has BS before launching the game. At least 15% of the people that come into the clearly labelled BStrat games are people who have no idea what BStrat is, ignore everyone's messsages, and like to say "GO! GO! GO!! When are we going to start?!" a lot. With [BS] in front of your name, I'll know we're on the same frequency.
2. BStrat is a very feedback-oriented MOD. The feedback I recieve from BStrat users has a lot of impact on the work I put into future versions of BStrat. The scrap system, the prices, making the sounds an optional download, and even changes to the physics of some of the units are all examples of feedback-influenced changes to BS.
If you've got a suggestion/flaw you want put in/fixed, seriously consider posting your thoughts on the BS forum (which requires no registration). With 500 people having downloaded BStrat, I don't like to deal with suggestions on a 1 on 1 basis (e-mail). A post on the forum will at least get a dozen or so other BS users an opportunity to add to the discussion and decide on what to do about any discovered problems. Plus the forum users also serve as my secretarial staff (after all, I've spent at least 40 hours of my life creating this thing!). They can answer your most common Qs.3. BS is a user-created MOD for Battlezone 2 and is in no way connected to Pandemic/Activision. When BS is enabled, you will not be able to play with standard BZ2 gamers. You will get 'bad assets' when attempting to do so. You will have to uninstall BS to play with standard games (you can use the attached BAT files to do so).
4. Many sounds designed for the units, such as the Val and Broadsword pilot voices, can only be found in the BS Sound Pack. You'll have to download and install the BSSP to hear those sounds (to install the BSSP, simply unzip the BSSP Zip into your \addon\ directory in BZ2 dir).
5. BS requires the BZ2 version 1.2.. and it's recommended you have a broadband internet connection.
6. I charge $1 for BStrat. Too bad I don't have any way to force you to pay! :) Heh heh. So allow me to beg for your $0.50 or $1.00... please please please please? I've spent at least 60 hours working on BS, and I haven't gotten a dime to show for it.
