Return to Chicago

I spent this past weekend in Chicago looking for a new apartment. I was not as organized as usual due to a busy work schedule but I had a few appointments scheduled and planned to pound the pavement with the remaining time. The first few apartments I saw were very disappointing. They wanted a lot of money for low quality places. However, as the day went on I found better and better apartments.

And the winner is...

Close to the lake and in a great neighborhood

As you can see, the street is one way and quiet (for Chicago)

The view - it's hard to see in the picture but out past the park is the lake

When I move in I'll have brand new carpet, paint, and a completely new bathroom. I'm trying to get them to pull up the linoleum in the kitchen and replace it with tile. I'll know about that sometime this week. It's a nice apartment with plenty of space and good light.
