The BMW 2002 was the car that really put BMW on the map in the US. A fast, good handling small car, with good fuel economy. It was a competitor against the Datsun 510's and Alfa GTV's in the SCCA's 2.5 Trans-Am championship, but didn't have the factory support necessary to be competitive. brp's rendition is pretty faithful to the car, with no enhancements to the rockers for better handling. The racing versions did have modest flares and perhaps a version will be forthcoming from brp.
