Damnation and Hayle Fires |
|
|
On 3rd of November an appliance had to be dispatched from Camborne to deal with a potentially serious chimney fire in Mount Pleasant. On 4th November, an appliance was called to a car fire, thought to have been caused by arson, by the Millpond Gardens. The same day a fire engine was called to deal with a fire in a rubbish bin in Lethlean Lane by the recreation ground. The same week saw the fire brigade make the 8 mile rush from Camborne again to deal with a VW Camper van that has burst into flames near the Loggans Mill roundabout and then again to deal with a traffic accident on the Hayle by-pass. Indeed the fire engine spent so much of its time in Hayle last week it may have well have been based in the town.... now there's a thought!
