Hayle has been selected to
premiere a film created by controversial artist Tracy Emin and
will be the only venue in Britain where the film can be seen
before it is exhibited at the Festival of International
Contemporary Art in Barcelona.
The film, called 'Top Spot'
which depicts the coming of age of a girl in the coastal resort
of Margate, is being shown in the Salt Gallery in Hayle. There
will be two showings of the film at 11:00am and 2:00pm, Tuesday
to Saturday until 7th September . |

Tracey Emin said: "This
film, I hope, relates to lots of young people whether they live
by the sea or in an urban city. It's about the moment of
understanding that you're not innocent any more. Understanding
that you're walking into an adult world, which means sex, which
means often violence and which means that you may have a
perspective on your own life that you never had before."
