The plan which had been
criticised for being lacking in substance and for duplicating
facilities already available failed to get the backing of the
funding body. As
bids for the first phase of funding were assessed it was
revealed that only 10 bids had satisfied the criteria and would
be supported.
There is some glimmer of
hope on the horizon as an additional phase will shortly get
underway and bids that failed to be approved under phase 1, may
be modified and resubmitted for further condideration. |
