Of
concern to local residents is that the signboard on the entrance
to the hotel site describes it as 'Development Land'. This has
led to speculation that the intention may be to demolish the
existing hotel and use the site for affordable housing. It
thought that planning consents for such a scheme could be much
easier to obtain than for other commercial developments.
Of
course it must be stressed that at this stage this is pure
speculation and that no planning permission exists. |
