| Hello Viewers. Fire Free Fire-Fighter Holman
reporting for duty.
Regular readers will recall that after support and
funding was withdrawn for the planned fire station in Hayle, Hayle was
declared a Fire-Free Zone. It seems that as the protesters predicted,
fire has failed to observe the fact that it is not allowed in Hayle.
Since the scheme was declared in October 2004 the fire appliances from
Camborne and other surrounding towns have been called out to deal with
the following incidents in Hayle: |
 |
|
Road Traffic Accidents |
4 |
 |
|
Serious House Fires |
1 |
|
Vehicle Fires |
4 |
|
'Secondary' Fires |
4 |

'Special' Calls |
6 |

Auto Triggered Alarms |

Chimney Fires |

Total Incidents Oct-Dec 2004 |

It seems that the plan to do away with the need for a
fire station in Hayle by banning fire from the town has come to nothing
with the attendance of a fire engine required on more than 20 occasions.
Our elected representatives should really be fighting
tooth and nail to get rid of this crazy scheme and get Hayle the fire
station it deserves, but what are they doing?
Cock Robin (above) is so concerned by recent events
that he and his helpers are planning to bring Hayle its own alternative
fire station... watch this space...
