WAR: The Mercs Advertise 1/? (We may have more commercials. Then again, we might not.) By Shadowstar Ratsies used by permission. Shadowstar grinned as she dressed the last ratsie that she'd borrowed from Libs in a purple sequined tutu (think Angelina Ballerina on crack) and set it with its fellows. "Remember what you're supposed to do?" she asked. The four little ratsies nodded in unison and started to do a chorus line. Shadowstar clapped. "Good!" the ratsies stopped dancing and looked at her expectantly. She stood up, faced the camera and began. "To all war participants, this is a public service announcement!" She snapped her fingers and the ratsies started to dance as a tinny voice sang in the background. "Have a job that's really tough, Hire Mercs, they're really rough." The ratsies pirouetted in unison, the skirts of their tiny tutus flying out with their tails. The hems of their scrub bottoms flew out as well, making them look like miniature sails as the voice continued to sing. "They will do your job so quick, You will think they're really slick." The ratsies jumped high in the air, their tiny toes stretched in perfect arabesques. They came down lightly, landing on their pointed toes. The ratsies linked into a line and started doing high kicks like the Rockettes. "For a lovely fee of gold, They will do just as they're told!" The little ratsies jumped again, this time landing in a perfect split. Shadowstar's voice filled the air. "Support your local Mercenary Guild--if you know what's good for you!" The ratsies bowed and scampered off as the camera shut down. _____________________ ===== FoLC, PEZhead, DarkNNer, JAGaholic, DieHard H/M shipper, J/C shipper Visit my website! http://bratling.0catch.com "Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things that a man needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good and that honor, courage and virtue mean everything. That power and money mean nothing. That good always triumphs over evil and I want you to remember this, that love ... true love never dies." --Hub, "Secondhand Lions"
