Title: It Wasn't my Turn to Watch Her (1/1) Author: Cousin Shelley Faction: Cousins Date: Wednesday, November 10th, 2004 Time: Around 4:15pm After: Cousin on the Loose Disclaimers: All participants used with permission. Back at CERK, the Cousins were glued to their laptop screens showing the image of the DP kitchen. Becky was still looking around for Shelley, the Cousinly Janitor, when she heard some mumblings from the others in the room. Sure she was missing some fun, she rushed back to her laptop. "Isn't that...." Rhonda asked, moving closer to the screen. "Naw, can't be...." Marci replied. Becky's heart skipped a beat. The camera's angle caught the open door of the cleaning supply closet perfectly ... and everything *in* that closet. The woman looked like some sort of demented cleaning maid clutching a mop and a bottle of cleaner. It could only be one person. Sighing deeply, she said, "Yes, that HAS to be Shelley." Brandi moaned and held her head as the headache took hold. "Noooo ... I TOLD her not to go!" Becky and Marci looked at each other quizzically. "Is something wrong, Brandi?" Marci was brave enough to ask. "Yes, we have to go see Arletta ... come on!" She grabbed the other two and headed off to see 1/3 of Cerberus. --------- "We saw, on the laptop...." "She had cleaners...." "We thought she was in the van...." "Slow down, tell me again, but *one* at a time!" Arletta was beginning to catch Brandi's headache. "Who was in the van?" "No, NOT in the van...." Marci corrected quietly. "Ummmm, Shelley's missing," Brandi added. Tok and Tser picked that moment to walk into the room. "Missing?" Tok asked. "Well, not really *missing*," Becky replied. "We DO know where she is." Tok raised an eyebrow in a fairly good imitation of the General. "Where?" "The DP mansion?" Marci squeaked out. The three heads of Cerberus looked at each other with knowing glances. It *was* rather hard to keep Shelley out of trouble in wartime. "Are you sure?" Tok asked. "How do you know?" Tser followed with. "How did this happen?" Arletta threw in. "We have a camera in the DP kitchen and she was in the cleaning supply closet clutching some kind of cleaning liquid...." Becky tried. "Yep, that would be Shelley," Tser quipped, "but how?" "I don't really know ... the attack was going as planned, Marci was busy hypnotizing the DPs...." "Who knew it could be so easy?" Marci broke in with, proudly holding up the book on hypnotism McLisa had helped them find and, ironically enough, Shelley had suggested. Arletta groaned and looked at Brandi. "How could you let her go *near* that after the *last time*?? You KNOW she has a *problem*!" "Problem?" Becky and Marci asked simultaneously. "Problem?" Tser and Tok echoed a second later. Arletta sighed and briefly explained Shelley's talent for being the world's easiest person to hypnotize. Tser smiled faintly and filed away the information for future use. Brandi, looking rather miserable, said, "I told her not to go, but she kept saying she would be fine. You KNOW how she is when it comes to attacks and all and ... well ... it wasn't my turn to watch her!" she wailed.
