WAR: NNPack - Scooby Dooby Doo By: Carrie B. & NNPack Time: Approx. 10:00am November 9th, 2004 Place: NNP HQ "I think the kitchen's over here ladies." Luicia waved towards her fellow NNPack Newbies Lerie and Stacy. "My watch is still on Ireland time so it's almost dinner according to my stomach." Lerie smiled at her new NNPack friend. "I'm still on N. Dakota time and it's really seven in the morning to me. I hope we can score some coffee. Stacy, what time is it for you?" Stacy grabbed three mugs and headed to the sacred coffee pot and began the pour. "I don't have the jet-lag thing being from Alabama. Hmmm...," Stacy inhaled the steam from her mug hoping for a shot of caffeine from the vapor alone. "This is the first time in months that I've not woken up in front of a classroom of kids. It's so peaceful." "I wonder if we have any cream?" Luicia pulled the refrigerator door open. "Wow...we seemed to be filled to the rim with Budweiser Beer bottles. That Carrie B. - the keeper of the NNPack Beer - takes her War job seriously, doesn't she?" "Speaking of War," Stacy grabbed an envelope off the front of the refrigerator door. "Check this out - it's marked 'RATPACK Canon Theatre'." Lerie took a closer look. "Three tickets for tonight. Ooohh... I bet it's the top secret location for the RatPack HQ." With a look of mischievousness she turned to the girls. "I've never seen a Ratpacker. Maybe we could take a little walk over and check it out?" "I don't know." Stacy looked puzzled. "What if we interfere with War plans and screw something up?" Luicia took the now empty mugs to the sink. "Who says anyone has to know we're there? We just pop over and then pop back- as long as I'm back in time for the UF party ...no one will ever know." She smiled wickedly. "It's our first war. I vote we do a little recon for the group." The ladies all nodded. "RatPack. Here we come." "Hi guys. Welcome to the War." Emily smiled as she passed the three of them leaving the kitchen. "I came to refill the coffee pot. We've got to get the rest of the troops up and going. I can't remember the last time our entire group completely flaked out and slept this late. We're going to be one well rested faction come sundown." Emily jumped as the kitchen phone rang. It was early in the War to be getting outside calls. " Hello- NNPack HQ. Love and Faith rules." "Hi Emily - It's Susan. I was wondering if tonight's tickets to 'The RatPack- A tribute to Sammy, Dean and Frank' have arrived yet? They should be on the refrigerator. The ticket saleslady did not seem to have a klew where to send them so I wanted to call over and check with you." Emily gave an eye to the refrigerator door. "Sorry Susan. No tickets anywhere. But it's kind of funny to think of you visiting the 'other' Ratpack tonight." Susan giggled."What can I say? I'm a sucker for Frank Sinatra. It must be the wavy hair and blue eyes - not unlike someone else we both know, right? See ya soon." (End)
