Knighties: To the Hive! (1/1) Date/Time: November 9, 2004, 10 pm, follows "Let's Go Shopping" Place: The Loft and The Hive By: Knightie Brooksie Janette used by permission of the WM The shopping trips had been a great success. Bags and bags were strewn around the loft and Knighties were in various states of readiness for the party at the Hive. Nick was already gone to the who-knows-where-he-goes-when-he-disappears-without-saying-goodbye-and-it's-n to-my-turn-to-watch-him place. More than half the Knighties were going. That meant that Nancy, Eowyn, Brooksie, Mindy, Gemsong, KnightCrusader, Cindy and Sandra would have to take two cars. Nancy was the designated driver for the night in one car and Sandra in the other. At 9:30 pm sharp everyone piled into the cars and they left the Loft parking yard. When they missed a turn and got on The Don going north (no not you know who, the Don Valley Parkway!) they all knew it was going to be a long night. It was a grateful group of women who emerged from the minivan and Mustang. Most were dressed very nicely, but Cindy and Mindy, by virtue of their motorcycle adventures were a little more casual. Nancy was in a ravishing Burgundy dress, low-cut, and showing some cleavage. Sandra was in an equally lovely navy blue dress, simply cut, but elegant, to fit her new figure. Katrinka had on a to-die-for black dress to show off her new figure! Mindy was in boot cut faded black jeans and a royal blue long sleeved tee top. Eowyn wore a flippy light green knee length dress, which harmonized well with the dark green wool riding skirt and white silk shirt outfit on Brooksie. KnightCrusader also wore green, to show off her naturally curly red hair, in a slim pant and fitted jacket. Gemsong, yet another red-haired Knightie wore purple, also a pants outfit. Cindy wore boot cut stonewashed blue jeans, cowboy boots and a silk patterned blouse in blues, greens and browns, Maria was also wearing jeans, only hers were of blackest black and she wore a blood red silk blouse cut to show off her figure. Feeling comfortable in their outfits, the Knighties ascended the stairs to the Hive, presented their invitation to the doorman and entered. The party was in full swing already. There was room for mingling and dancing and a long bar serving drinks. Down the line each Knightie tugged on the next one's arm until all were looking at the bar and a particular Greek bartender. He was handing a wine glass to the always impeccable and elegantly attired Janette. "And where Janette is," whispered Sandra, "Nick will not be far behind!" Everyone nodded in agreement as all heads scanned the room for their crusading knight. "Where is he?" asked a worried Brooksie. "His master probably has him in a choke hold somewhere," replied the wise Nancy. "Huh," was all Brooksie could say. "I need some food and drink," said Mindy. "Cindy and I had a long, long, afternoon!" "And what do you think we had," snapped Katrinka, who was definitely still put out about that whole no caffeine in the Canadian Diet Mountain Dew thing. "We ran around Wally's-world all afternoon buying up camping equipment so we could go looking for that stupid rock for Nick." "Careful of your tone, Kat," said Eowyn, "you don't want to scare the newbies. Wars are supposed to be fun, not stressful." Kat snorted back at her. "There's Nick!" shouted KnightCrusader. Trust a newbie to stay on point. And sure enough Nick emerged from a hallway off to one side of the room the party was in. He spied his Knighties and God Bless him, he came over to say hello. When he reached the mass of his admirers, they swarmed around him like a veritable rugby scrum.
