Knighties: Let's Go Shopping (1/1) Date/Time: Nov 9, afternoon Place: The Loft and Wallys-world By Knightie Katrinka The Knighties knew they would be going on a road trip. To places unknown to find the stone. A quest, a very cold, damp quest. Lisa looked at the things in her suitcase. "I didn't bring anything warm enough to camp in." "Nether did I," Kat admitted as she looked at her stack of black outfits. "We *need* to go shopping," Debbi said taking her plastic out of her pocket. "I'm from Arizona I just might freeze to death! Thin blood you know!" "Shopping? You want to go shopping?" Lisa grumbled. "I'm still trying to catch up on my sleep!" "I love shopping! Can we buy chocolate?" Katrinka asked. "I also need beverages!" "What happened to that chocolate that Nick promised us?" "Oh, well, then I need beverages. Nancy drank all the Diet Mountain Dew that I bought with yesterday's groceries." Debbi whapped the crazy Knightie on the head. "We're only going to shop for camping gear." "I need to go shopping too!" Sandra spoke up. "I didn't bring enough clothing for the two weeks because I lost weight and nothing fits! "And you look great, too," said Nancy, as she joined the conversation. She turned to Kat, "And speaking of shopping, I could get a nice outfit for tonight's party!" Katrinka, "Well, Lisa and I were going to go shopping at Wally-world." "Hmm, not to offend," Nancy said, "but for tonight I was looking at someplace a little more upscale that Wallys!" "Well, then we either take two cars, or we drop you off downtown and then drive out to Wallys." "OK - you take the minivan, you'll need it to carry the camping gear and Sandra and I will take the blue Mustang and go downtown. Maybe we'll meet up with you later - I need to stock up on some beverages." Sandra looked at the new shopping list that Katrinka had made. "Could you get me an nice mat, something appropriate for doing the exercises I need for my back on?" "Sure, Sandra." Replies Kat and then began to ask everyone in the room if they wanted to go shopping at Wally-world. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* An hour later Knighties had invaded the local Wally-world. Katrinka grabbed two shopping carts and headed to the outdoor supplies. She then began to dump sleeping bag after sleeping bag into a basket. Lisa had a hard time keeping up. "What are you doing?" "We're going to need sleeping bags for the trip." She said sensibly. "And air mattresses. It will be too cold to sleep on the ground." "You don't expect for Nick to pay for all of this?" "I still have his card." Katrinka said with a wicked grin. "Kat! You can't use Nick like that!" She stepped between the dark haired woman and the cart. "You're going to put everything back!" "Okay, I'll be honest." She sighed. "My hubby is a Wally-world associate. I have his discount card and my credit card." "Your credit card? Not the card that Nick gave you?" She said skeptically. "Yes, my own credit card." Katrinka went back to putting things in her cart. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* (Sandra and Nancy join the group still roaming around Wally-world!) "I don't care where we are going, we need Diet Mountain Dew!" Nancy insisted as she went to the soda isle. She began dumping bottles in her cart. She didn't care if the bottles squished the clothing. She craved the light green nectar. "Do you know how heavy they will be?" the second Knightie asked. "I don't care." She said crankily. "I had some of that Dew that Katrinka ordered. That stuff was really wrong." "What was wrong?" "I didn't get my usual buzz!" She rubbed her forehead. "I'm having Dew withdrawals. It can only mean one thing! I need the real stuff." Just then the crazed Katrinka went around the corner. She began to fill her own basket with Diet Mountain Dew. Nancy looked at Katrinka. "What was wrong with the Dew you ordered? I had a litre of it this morning, and nothing! It didn't wake me up." She rubbed her forehead. "I have such a headache!" "Sounds like caffeine withdrawal to me," said Lisa. She picked up a bottle and looked at it. "How much caffeine is in Diet Mountain Dew?" "Tons and tons!" "There is no caffeine in this bottle of Mountain Dew." Nancy took the bottle from her. "She's right, there isn't." "Ha!" Kat smirked. "You didn't believe me when I told you that yesterday. Believe me now?" Nancy pouted. "I repeat, in Canada, Diet Mountain Dew doesn't have caffeine." "Then let's get the regular stuff." Nancy grabbed a bottle and looked at it. "That doesn't have caffeine either! What's wrong with this place?" "I don't know." Katrinka sighed, as she put bottles of diet Dr. Pepper in her cart. "Maybe if we get near the boarder, we could slip over and get some real dew?" "I wonder if it's illegal to smuggle American Diet Mountain Dew into Canada?" Nancy mused. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The End
