Welcome to the HQ and Museum ARRIVING IN TORONTO DieHards Faction--Don, Dory, Chanda, Kimmer Monday, November 8th, 2004 "Bram Stoker's birthday, how appropriate." Don thought. Today he'd finally managed to acquire a first edition copy of 'Dracula' for the museum. "OK it isn't FK but maybe it's time to expand the scope of the museum. Attendance has been down lately, except for War-time of course." "Now if I can only get the beasts into my quarters before the others get here." He rubbed his eyes and thought of the improbable set of coincidences that left him in charge of the family menagerie and making a trip to Toronto in weather far too cold for his thin Florida blood. At that moment Dory came running up the steps.... Dory climbed out of the Knight Transportation truck and got her luggage out of the back of the truck. Smiling far too much, she thanked and paid the driver for kindly taking her clear from Phoenix to Toronto, even dropping her off a half-kilometer away from the museum! She arrived at the Museum and promptly ran up and hugged Don, recognizing him immediately. Don and Dory made small talk as they waited for Kimmer and Chanda to arrive.... Kimmer climbed out of the taxi, handing the driver his fare and a generous tip. She recognized her old friend Chanda immediately. It had been over three years, but the two of them stood out amongst the crowd on the steps leading up to the museum. "You can take the Ravenettes out of the bar, but you can't take the Ravenette out of the wardrobe", Kimmer thought happily to herself, as she nodded approvingly at Chanda and her outfit. Kimmer ran up the stairs, and the two of them hugged. Chanda pulled back and looked at her, a little anxious. "So this is our headquarters for this war? A museum?". Kimmer wanted to reassure her friend. "Not just any museum, the DieHards' museum, their headquarters. It'll be good, who knows, we might actually learn something this War". Taking Chanda's arm in hers, they continued together up the stairs and to the doors. It was not quite time for the museum to open its' doors, but a man on the other side motioned to a building maintenance man, who pointed to Kimmer and Chanda and to a side door on the left. Taking their cue, they quickly moved to the side where the door was hastily being unlocked. Kimmer recognized Don, the List Gardener, and waved. He had a cute, young woman with him, with long, blondish-red hair, and the darkest blue eyes Kimmer had ever seen. "Must be Dory," Kimmer thought to her- self, as she and Chanda hurried through the door that was quickly locked behind them, and into the latest War intrigue in Toronto. __________________________________ Don Fasig - diehard@phase-6.net AIM - dlfasig AgapePhilos, Dory DORY12485@aol.com aol im dory12485 kimmer at kimmertom@msn.com msn im kimmertom aol im kimmertom yahoo im kimmer5757 icq #9306895
