War Report 11-13-04

Saturday morning, the rock hunting contingent of Addicts meet over
breakfast to discuss what they have discovered so far.  Dee tells the
others about meeting a Pic River elder, who tells them where to look
for rocks with writing on them.  The girls head for the Devils Hole
Basin, which is near where Beverley's group was exploring yesterday. 
During the excursion, Dee tells everyone the Legend of Bloody Run,
which may or may not be a flashback regarding LaCroix.

Jackson Hugh hooks up with Patt again.  He knows she stole his truck. 
When a bear attacks the Third Cousin, both Jackson and Spark, the
Sheltie, come to Patt's rescue.

Meanwhile, the Addicts think that Beverley is giving them a hard time. 
Beverley ducks into a cave when the Addicts threaten to stone her. 
Exploring is continued.

There be Vaqueras in these same woods.  Sarah, Teri and Marilyn are
all lost.  Marilyn decides to dowse, trying to find their camp.  Lisl
and Katherine observe them, and decide to try dowsing too.  The
dowsing old points them toward Jackson Hugh, probably because of his
Fairy Aura.  He takes off, leaving the stunned women behind.

Jackson returns to Patt and shares the Majick experience with her,
just before they both fall into an underground cavern and discover Don
Schanke and Beverly within. 

The Addicts try to remove the rocks and rescue the others, but are
unsuccessful.  Spark tries to show them the way through the top, but
they each fall in instead of rescuing.  The Vaqs discover the Addicts
in the cave and send help.

Jackson and Patt opt to walk home, because Lavalianna can't be flown
home.  During the walk through the snow, Jackson tells Patt that Lava
is pregnant, and talks about new life and new hope.  He asks Patt what
she hopes for, and she evades telling him that she cares for him.

Not-So-Devine Design, Part 1

After a long night, Caren and Christy wind up sleeping until 6 p.m. Saturday
evening and are awakened by Kriel with the news that the designers have
arrived.  The enthusiastic women head for the bottom floor of the Shrine to
meet with the five men, who have made Kriel uncomfortable with their
critique of his personal style of dress and grooming.  He leaves, and Caren,
Rob, Alyce and Christy begin discussions with the designers.


Saturday, 11/13/04 - Early Sunday, 11/14/04

Not-So-Devine Design, Part 2

Caren, Rob, Alyce and Christy continue with the Shrine decorating, getting
the kitchen/lab taken care of and adding a fish tank into one of the Green
Room walls for Alyce in lieu of decorating with dragons.  There is a light
snow flurry during the evening.
