Knighties:  How Sugar Highs Turned Into High Fives (1/3)

Cindy and Brooksie are having ice cream in the kitchen when Nick
arrives.  Every other Knightie is asleep.  Brooksie confirms that a
meeting between Nick and Vachon has been arranged and says
she hopes Nick will allow one or two of the Knighties to go along.
Nick response is:

>"Alright." Nick relented as he stood.  "We'll talk about it more in the
>morning.  But only if you two put the sugar brigade away and go to bed."

He asks whose truck and trailer are outside, but they don't know.  They
say they'll ask Nancy and Eowyn.  He says to let him know and adds he
can always call in the plates and see if they've been reported as stolen.
Then he goes to bed.

Place:  The Loft and Wallys-World

The Knighties realized that they were unprepared for the cold weather in
Toronto, and they needed hiking and camping equipment.  Kat and Nancy also
needed more Diet Mountain Dew, their beverage of choice.  So Kat decided
they should go to Wallys-World.  But Nancy needed to get some nicer clothes,
esp for the party at the Hive, so she and Sandra went to downtown Toronto,
and later caught up with the others at Wallys-world.  At W-W, Lisa confirmed
that there was no caffeine in the Mountain Dew sold in Canada (by reading
the label).  This was not a good thing.

Cindy, who was the FoD WL in the last war, and a Vaquera in earlier wars,
was upset that Nick's motorcycle was not in the Loft.  She wanted to ride
it.  When Nick disclosed that he was going to the Vaq Church to talk to the
V-Man himself, she pleaded with him to come along, and Brooksie and Mindy
invited themselves as representatives of the Knightie leadership.  But when
they got to the church Cindy and Mindy had a different errand in mind.  They
were there to reclaim Nick's Norton.  While Brooksie kept the Vaqs busy, and
Nick talked to Vachon about the Treaty, the heist was completed.
Unfortunately the motorbike broke down on the cold ride back to the Loft.
Then Vachon showed up proving that he knew what was going on all along!  The
duo was rescued by Eowyn, who drove the truck/trailer rig that had been
left, at the Loft, mysteriously in the beginning of the war. A query that
Nick made to Motor Vehicles resulted in a callback that identified that the
truck had been stolen from a Mr. Oleson who lived in southern Ontario near
Niagara Falls.  Nick told the Knighties to return the rig to him on
Thursday.

Nick disappears to the who-knows-where-he-goes-when-he-disappears-without-
saying-goodbye-and-it's-nto-my-turn-to-watch-him place. After making a 
wrong turn,
Knighties Nancy, Eowyn, Brooksie, Mindy, Gemsong, KnightCrusader, Cindy and
Sandra (in two cars) make it to the UF party.  They look for Nick, worrying and
speculating about where he is.  Finally they spot him and swarm around him
like a veritable rugby scrum.
