Ten Closing Remarks & Gags for Magicians

1. Straight:
And now ladies and gentlemen, I have tried to interest you in a few experiments, and trust I have succeeded, if so, I am happy. Your interest was a good reward f or my efforts. I hope I may have the pleasure of serving you again, and bid you good night (or good afternoon.)

2. Comedy:
That's all folks. You can all go home and go to bed now. Sleep tight. Don't let the little bugs bite. (Wave hand as you go off.)

3. Comedy:
The following is to be said in a kidding way.) Someone said, "All good things must come to an end." - That was after he saw my act. - I'm through now. Hope you had a good time, and hope to see you again sometime. This is the first time I have ever played in. (Name town you are playing.) and I hope I can come here again sometime. (Pause.) when it's finished. Seriously though, I have thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I want to say now that my address Is. (Give correct address for business reasons.) and if you folks ever get in any trouble, call me up and I'll tell you where to go.

4. Comedy:
Magician is all through act and comes back for a bow.) Ladies and gentlemen, I thank you kindly for your applause - It's very nice of you. I'd rather get the applause than the money. (Pause.)'Course I'll take the money. - It really though, makes me feel very kindly towards people when they applaud me. (Pause.) It shows they're INTELLIGENT. It shows they appreciate TALENT. (Bow.) I've got to hurry now. I've got a big wash to do. But I want to thank you all again and wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. (Say these greetings at any time during the year.)

5. Comedy:
Ladies and gentlemen, this ends my part of the exercises and I hope you had a good time. I always offer fifty dollars to anyone in my audience that doesn't have a good time. There's only one provision to that offer. If you didn't have a good time, TRY AND GET THE FIFTY. (Start to walk off.) I'm getting a job as pilot on an airplane. Come up and see sometime.

6. Novelty:
This act of mine is something like a book. I've started at the front page and worked through until the end has come. I hope you've liked the book. If you have, you'll do like others. You'll want to read the book again. That means you'd like to read MY BOOK of tricks again, and So: -

    The story's ended, like they say in books
    I'm not much on talent, but I make it up in looks,
    I've showed some tricks for the ladies, and then some for the men,
    And now'll say good evening, & hope I'll call again.
