English Beyond the Basics is a new handbook for Spanish speakers who have developed a beginning understanding of English and desire to turn that basic understanding into mastery.
Based on errors that our students have made over the years, English Beyond the Basics is unique in that it tries to help students understand their mistakes in terms of the "jump" from Spanish to English.
While some grammar terminology is used in the book, grammatical explanations are kept to a minimum. There are 300 plus significant errors discussed in the book, and each one has at least one correct model.
