Blue pines in oil: strong brush strokes, magenta border, solid oak frame. With frame it is 4' x 1.5' high.Oil on formica/linolium composite $350
-------------

8.5 x 11 watercolor "small blue heron" signed. Matted in frame.
-------------
Acrylic. 6 inches high and 4 across. Under glass in wood frame. Most people accociate this with a nude so I oriented it that way but I wasn't thinking consciously of doing a nude when I painted it. I was probably thinking about music, crescendo and resolution. No mat, white frame. Artistically cracked glass on top. $85
_______________
In the southwest there is a bird called a "greenjay". It's plumage is green vs. the blue that is more common. In the adult the brown is actually black. Watercolor 4'x3.5 (to be cut down on the sides), 80# thick paper. $159
--------------------
Pheonix: The photo
has a fairly large carrot at the bottom of this painting to show it's size.
It's 3.5' x 2.5' and may be cut down a few inches on the sides. The eye is neon
pink but it is very difficult to see that from this photo. That eye is the only
part of the painting that is tempra instead of watercolor but that is not noticable
as both paints are water-based. The eye and the painting as a whole demand attention.
This design is was done twice. The purple Phenix is better so the artist is
keeping it. 80# paper. unframed $100
------------------
Seagulls. (bad photo) Watercolor
on 80# acid free paper. 3.5' x 2.5'. $200.
-------------------
When I made this I called it "old money" because of the cracked look of the blue tempra. The pink doesn't say "old" but then the temptation to worship money never does get old. Perhaps it should be named "That old devil money!" Tempra on contruction paper, framed in pine with marron mat-$189

"Eye of Heron": Matted with light green under glass. If you take time to think about it you'll realise that a peacock's eye is more kind. A heron on the other hand generally has a large yellow area that lessens the kindness. I think this picture captures the "surprised" look you'll find in most heron's eyes while emphasizing two facts: 1.If you got this close it would put YOUR eye out. 2.It's generally a water foul that loves lush green swampy areas. Still, the painter conceeds this painting belongs with a group of heron pictures so the viewer makes the proper association.Watercolor. 8.5" x 11" acid free 80 pd. acid free paper, framed $40.
------------------------------
Singing Sparrow: Yes that is a thumb and fingers holding the picture. It provides some perspective. There is a slope on the photo making the head look a little small. You can have 20% off if you give me the name of the weed the sparrow is perched on top of. It is tall and mostly light green until the yellow blooms burst out. It offers a vertical streak of lemon yellow to a usually brown Fall or Summer field. If you look closely the weed is bent over from the weight of the adult sparrow. 80# acid free paper, 3.5' x 2.5' $240.
