When I was researching transsexuality on the Internet, I found that there were many sites that had absolutely nothing to do with earnest attempts to understand a condition such as mine. After many years of random surfing through hundreds of web sites, I have found some that are very good that I would like to share here with you now.
 

Lynn Conway Lynn's site is one of the best resources I've found for the transsexual woman. Lynn is a college professor and a computer scientist with a very successful career.

Calpernia Addams Calpernia runs the safest, most welcoming forum on the web for transsexuals.

Anne Vitale PhD This web site addresses issues regarding gender dysphoria, crossdressing, transsexualism, transgenderism, Gender Identity Disorder, hormones, sex reassignment surgery (SRS), the HBIGDA Standards of Care (SOC) and gender variant issues in general. Female-to-Male (FTM) and Male-to-Female (MTF) issues are covered.

Anne A. Lawrence, M.D., Ph.D Anne's site is an excellent resource for medical information.

TS Road Map This site is a comprehensive treatment of every aspect of MTF transition.

Transgender Forum This is an excellent site with all sorts of wonderful information and opportunities for community.

Becky Allison M.D. Becky's site is a rich resource with personal journal material and a discussion on spirituality.

PFLAG Resources for gay, lesbian,  bisexual, and transgendered persons, their families and friends.

Emergence Ministries An excellent site for transgendered Christians.

The Gender Web Project Many interesting articles on being transgendered.

Trans-Gender Expressions A trans resource that can provide important resource information on a state by state or country basis. A good place to find helping professionals in your area.

Gianna E. Israel Provides nationwide telephone counseling and maintains an excellent gender library.

Vanessa Kaye's Vanessa and Linda Kaye discuss transgender and how couples can cope.

Jennifer Diane Reitz Jennifer's transsexuality web site. Many good essays on our situation.

Transgender Law and Policy Institute A non-profit organization dedicated to engaging in effective advocacy for transgender people in our society.

The Tara Foundation Their mission statement: The Tara Foundation is dedicated to helping transsexuals who are unable to, whether by disability, financial condition, or other reasons, to pay for sex reassignment surgery and other necessary procedures and expenses.
