| Day 3 I-90 through Minnesota and South Dakota to Badlands National Park, SD |
| Day 4 Mt. Rushmore, Black Hills National Forest, the Big Horn National Forest and the Shell Canyon. |
| Day 5 US 14 to Cody, SR 120 to Meeteetse and Thermopolis, US 20 to Shoshoni and Jackson, WY |
| Day 6 Grand Teton National Park, Rockefeller Memorial Parkway to Yellowstone National Park |
| Day 7 US 89 through the Lewis and Clark National Forest and on to St. Mary, MT |
| Day 8 Bypassing the Going To The -Sun Road on US 2, US 93 to Missoula, US 12 to Kamiah, ID |
| Day 9 A side trip to Elk City, SR 162/64 to Craigmont, US 95 and US 12 to Lewiston, ID |
| Day 10 WA 3/WA 129 south to Enterprise, OR 82 to I-84, I-84 to Memaloose State Park (off I-84) |
| Day 11 Mount Hood Highway (US 30) to Mt. Hood, US 26 to Madras, US 97 to Terrebonne, local roads to Sisters, OR 242 and OR 126 to Eugene. |
