SHOULD YOU GET AN ALLOWANCE?

COMMENTARY:

SHOULD YOU GET AN ALLOWANCE?

Children who receive an allowance from their parents are usually those who obey, do their chores, and maintain a high standard of conduct in general. If they disobey, neglect their chores, etc., they most likely won't receive their weekly allowance. In fact, they may receive a spanking, or be disciplined in some other manner.

If parents gave unruly children an allowance no matter how bad their children are, it would prove they were unfit to raise children. No dedicated parent is going to reward their children, when they do things that harm themselves, others, or the household in general. Would a good parent give their children an allowance, if they knew they would buy cigarettes with it?

Yet, many believers, and unbelievers alike, believe God will dole out His blessing on those who disobey Him. (and reward them with good things in spite of their wrongdoing) If God actually did this, He would be an unfit Father Himself. Sinners should not ask for blessings from God if they are living for their flesh, and/or for the devil! (no matter if they claim, or believe themselves to be saved or not) The bottom line is, God will not answer the prayers of ANY sinner. (except prayers for salvation from those who truly want to repent of their sins)

Children sometimes fool their parents and get by without correction, but God will not be deceived by or lies, or the pretence of sinners who claim they are "being good." We need to quit playing religious games, and become a submissive servant to our Holy God. When we do things His way, we will receive an "allowance" that is priceless on a daily basis. It is wonderful to be able to live without fear, knowing God loves and protects us 24/7.

If you have not received your "daily allowance," you need to do a self-check so you can determine if your election is sure…

Hebrews 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Need forgiveness for your sins? If so, you can repent of your sins, and receive Jesus Christ as both Lord and Saviour. The gospel of salvation is simple, and it clearly tells us how sinners can be made into a "new-creation" in-Christ:
