IN VAIN?

COMMENTARY:

Matthew 15:9 tells us of those who WORSHIP the Lord Jesus Christ, but they do so in vain! Ask yourself, has your church traditions and teachings replaced the Bible as the final authority regarding God? If so, you are worse than an infidel.

I Corinthians 15:2 tells of those who RECEIVE the good news of the gospel of salvation and BELIEVE it, but soon forget and turn away from God. I would rather have never heard the gospel than to hear and believe it, and than turn away from the One Who died to save my soul.

2 Corinthians 6:1 clearly states we can RECEIVE the grace of God, and yet do so in vain. If you don't use the grace of God to live for Him and overcome your carnal nature, you have WASTED the power God has given you to enable you to spend eternity with Him.

2 Peter 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

That's something to really pray about...

Need forgiveness for your sins? If so, you can repent of your sins, and receive Jesus Christ as both Lord and Saviour. The gospel of salvation is simple, and it clearly tells us how sinners can be made into a "new-creation" in-Christ:
