PASSING THE BUCK...

The bible clearly teaches us we need to REPENT of our sins, not finds ways to justify them, or blame what we do on others. While the devil delights in seeing both the lost and believers sin, he is MOST HAPPY when we fail to admit fault for the things we do. Remember, you can't repent from doing something you won't accept the responsibility for.

Adam said Eve cause him to sin, and Eve said the devil caused her to sin. While the devil certainly tempted her to sin, Eve made a free will choice to do wrong, and ate of the forbidden fruit. (as did Adam, after Eve ate of it) When people say "the devil MADE ME do it," they are simply telling a lie! This is just a cop-out, I promise you God is not pleased when we blame others for the things we do.

If we can't blame the devil or someone else for our sins, many will say "the temptation was just too great for me to resist." When we say this, we call God a liar by default. He promises us enough GRACE to resist any sin, and He reminds us how easy we give into sin when things get rough. Given the choice, most would take the "sin route" rather than suffer for taking a stand for righteousness.

I wonder how many of us take our salvation serious enough to consider what God says concerning our attitude toward sin, and the what we do when temptation is knocking on our front door? Are you "passing the buck," or just blaming everyone EXCEPT yourself for the wrong you do?

1 Peter 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Need forgiveness for your sins? If so, you can repent of your sins, and receive Jesus Christ as both Lord and Saviour. The gospel of salvation is simple, and it clearly tells us how sinners can be made into a "new-creation" in-Christ:
