"The Secret," Is Not Enough!

The big buzz concerning "The Secret" movie, and the Oprah special concerning "The Secret," needs to be understood in a biblical context or "The Secret" can become VERY BAD NEWS.
The "laws of attraction" certainly have merit, as does all laws God created. Like the law of gravity etc., these laws affect believers and unbelievers alike. God tells us we have not because we ask not, but we need to ask in faith! If you are unsaved, it is better to not ask for things that bring comfort and pleasure because worldly success often indicates there is a LACK of spiritual success in life. (salvation)
The bible teaches us there is a process to receive things from God:
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Without God's forgiveness and without His Holy Spirit you may do well here on earth, but you will face a most bleak eternity. These two men had it all here on earth, but lost out on heaven for eternity:
Luke 16
19: There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
22: And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23: And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24: And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25: But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Luke 12
16: And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
17: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
18: And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
19: And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20: But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
21: So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
