![]() | SHORT, AND TO THE POINT! |
People in general usually find much they can disagree about, concerning many topics in life. When subjects like religion or politics are under discussion, many quickly lose their good manners and become ugly and defensive.
There is a spiritual force at work when things like this occur, known as the division factor. Any family, church, organization, etc., becomes subject to failing, as God PROMISES a divided house cannot stand. If God can act out in love and grace towards those who despise Him, who are we to get angry or upset when someone has an honest difference of opinion concerning something we believe?
Even believers are "forgiven, but NOT perfect yet." This being the case, why would we even dare think we have all of the answers regarding God, or anything else in life? Even God's chosen Apostles disputed and argued about faith, the law, and other things we would assume they should be in agreement concerning.
If I ever join a church where everyone agrees 100% concerning doctrine etc., I will flee the place as soon as possible. People who all believe exactly the same thing, are using the faith of a pastor or teacher etc., instead of studying the scriptures for them self. The Holy Spirit will guide those who read the bible, and teach them what they need to know in His timing.
Also remember truth stands alone, so error will never override truth unless we refuse the truth and accept error as if it were truth. Discussion with those we disagree with provides us with information we need to refute wrong ideas and wrong concepts. If we only look at one side of an issue, we only know one half of the information available to us. Anyone who would be satisfied with knowing one half of anything important, need to continue their education regarding the subject at hand.
The bottom line is BE NICE, and treat others as you would want to be treated. God loved us while we were yet sinners, and He expects us to love others in the same unconditional manner…
